Race Details: USLMRA National Points Race Series Opening Weekend at Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, Maryland

Hello Race Fans! Its time to put away the snow shovels, snow blowers, salt, plows and sleds and get ready to RACE! The 2011 U.S. Points Race season is almost here!

The 2011 STA-BIL Lawn & Garden Mower Racing Series Kicks Off April 2-3 at Potomac Speedway, 27963 Budds Creek Road, Budds Creek, MD 20659, with April Fool’s Day Fun Friday night at the track.

We’ve conducted a site inspection and we will have a very nice track in store, situated on the front stretch of the Speedway Track. Front and back straight-aways are 200 feet and track width is 40’ all around. Our friends at Potomac Speedway are providing some strong advance promotion, so there will be a nice spectator crowd.

Southern Maryland is a hotbed for racing mowers with the DelMarVa Chapter based in the Old Line State and the annual St. Mary’s County Lawn Mower Races held at Bowles Farms in Clements, Maryland each summer. 2011 Bowles Farms Race Weekend is August 5-6.

April Fool’s Day!

To mark the 19th Birthday of the USLMRA, please join us a the track Friday night,
7:00pm for some “Foolishness, Fun and Special Surprises.” We’ll have some cool
giveaways, promow items, food and drink as well as some garden gnomes to give out.

Racer Entry & Info

Entry is free for racers. There will be a separate Racer Admission Gate set up when you arrive.

Spectator Admission

General admission is $8.00, free for kids eight and under. Saturday spectator gates open at 4:00PM and Sunday at 11:00AM.
