C’mon. Where else can you find top racers named Patty “Precious Mowments” and her husband, Tim “The Mowron” Robinson from Texas? Or how about Charles “Mr. Mowjangles” Powell, a U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association board member?
The head of the association, Bruce Kaufman, is known as Mr. Mow-it-All and the Sodfather. He clearly enjoys lawn mower racing.
“We can’t run away and join the circus anymore. And we can’t follow the Grateful Dead around the country,” Mr. Mow-it-All said. “So we might as well race lawn mowers.”
